Hello, I'm Doug
From an early age, the world of video games captivated me, starting with the Atari 2600 we got for Christmas. From reverse engineering games on an Apple II GS (to learn how to code) to meeting Alexey Pajitnov (the inventor of Tetris) to playtesting games and controllers for Xbox (while working at Microsoft) to now a student in the Master of Arts in Game Design program at Lindenwood University, I’ve always been intrigued by the game industry.
For years I have watched the game development industry grow. Always watching from the sidelines as my career took me in other directions. I’ve watched as 3D and game development tools have risen to be crushed by others in a violent battle for supremacy. Finally, the tools, along with new markets, have reached a state that indie game developers young and old can make the shift into game development.
